Our Story

Swanage Surf & SUP was born out of a lifelong connection to the water and a deep love for this corner of the world. We grew up here, exploring every beach, cove, river and headland that makes the Purbeck so special.

That love of adventure has stayed with us through decades of chasing waves elsewhere. We’ve surfed Indonesia’s reef breaks, explored the coastlines of Australia, and taken on the Pacific swell from Venice Beach to Half Moon Bay. And while those spots are famous for a reason, there’s something about the Purbeck that always brings us home.

That spirit of exploration is what inspired Swanage Surf & SUP. We saw a gap: no one on the Purbeck was offering a simple way to pick up a board and head off. Beyond the main beach and out into the real Purbeck. No click-and-collect service. No easy way to grab a board, sling it on your back, and find your own stretch of water.

Now you can. With flexible pick-up options and advice from people who know the coastline inside out, we make it easy to pack and paddle — wherever the mood takes you. From Studland’s sandy shores to the dramatic cliffs of Chapman’s Pool and the reef at Kimmeridge, we’ll help you get there.
